INSTALLATION (Do this the first time you use the eEdition CD-ROM.)
1. Quit all running applications.
2. Insert the eEdition CD into your CD-ROM drive.
3. If you do not have Acrobat Reader 5.0 installed on your machine, you will need to install this application from the CD-ROM. Find the icon labeled Reader Installer 5.0 and double click on it.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MAC USERS WHO HAVE OS 8.5 OR LOWER: ACROBAT 5.0 WILL NOT WORK WITH ANY OPERATING SYSTEM THAT IS LOWER THAN 8.6. IF YOU HAVE A MAC OS 8.5 OR LOWER, YOU WILL NEED TO DOWNLOAD AN EARLIER VERSION OF ACROBAT READER FROM ADOBE ACROBAT'S WEB SITE.
QUICK START
1. Insert the eEdition CD into your CD-ROM drive.
2. Double click on the eEdition Start Page icon.
3. You will see a splash screen. Click anywhere on the book title to begin viewing the eEdition.
eEDITION CD-ROM NAVIGATION
1. After you click on the splash screen, you will be taken to an interactive table of contents for the book. Click on the chapter or section title that you would like to view.
2. At the top of every eEdition page, there is a gray navigation bar. To page through the book either by page or by section, click the forward or backward arrows on the right-hand side of the navigation bar.
3. The navigation bar also allows you to return to the Table of Contents from every page of the book.
4. Using the navigation bar, you may also enlarge or decrease the size of the PDF file by clicking on the magnification and demagnification buttons located on the left-hand side of the navigation bar.
